About the Event

The Greek Energy Forum (GEF), in cooperation with New Europe, is pleased to host this roundtable event on regional cooperation in South-eastern Europe (SEE) in the context of the implementation of the EU Energy Union Strategy. The roundtable is held under the auspices of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU, in line with the Presidency’s priority number one: “Europe of Cohesion”.

In the framework of this event, the governments of Greece and Romania will present their vision for regional cooperation, as well as communicate and discuss their respective integrated National Energy and Climate Plans, developed in accordance with the Energy Union Governance regulation. The roundtable aims to identify challenges and opportunities for improving regional cooperation in the energy sector in view of Europe’s clean energy transition, covering power and gas market development and integration, as well as energy efficiency and clean energy innovation
